Collagen Building Fillers
Main Ingredient: Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) Microspheres Gel
How It Works: Once injected, Radiesse provides immediate volume and correction. Unlike HA fillers, it continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, the gel base is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres leaving behind only your own natural collagen.
Uses: Radiesse is used to fill and correct smile lines, marionette lines, naso-labial folds, and wrinkles around the nose and mouth.
Duration: It is clinically proven to last a year, or more in many patients
Main Ingredient: Poly-L-lactic Acid
How It Works: Sculptra is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss. It works by stimulating the growth of collagen at the injection site and surrounding areas. Sculptra is not actually a filler, but rather a catalyst that causes the growth of your own tissue.
Uses: It’s good for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Sculptra restores volume to the face and thickness of the skin. It is commonly used to correct naso-labial folds, marionette lines and sunken areas, such as the cheeks. Sculptra can also be used to fill acne scars.
Duration: In a clinical study, results lasted for up to 2 years after the first treatment session. A full treatment consists of an average of three treatments, approximately 4-6 weeks apart. Unlike other fillers with immediate results, changes (and improvements to the skin) happen slowly over several months.
